These chemicals, nicknamed the "forever chemicals" because of their environmental persistence, are added to an enormous number of consumer products, including foodware, beauty products, furniture, and outdoor gear. PFAS have damaging, long-term effects on both human health and the environment. The conversation is shared with Sue Chiang, Pollution Prevention Director at the Center for Environmental Health.
